When our founder, Shirley was just ten years old, she experienced a challenging transition from China to the U.S. along with her parents. Much like numerous immigrant families, their initial years were spent hopping between relatives' homes and other rentals, seeking stability in this unfamiliar land. She saw her parents working multiple jobs to make a living and provide stability, but lacking the confidence to buy a a house.
